The friends of N-RE (R stands for “Regelspur”, the german term for “Standard Gauge”, E for Europe) focuses on reliable shunting and operation following european prototypes. They are open to all kinds of operation, epoch or environment. The foundation are the definitions of NEM, thus products following NEM standards typically can be used without changes. The height of tracks is allowed to be up to 1.5mm (Code 55). Locos are controlled using DCC.
