The FREMO H0m Standard – The World of Narrow Gauge in 1:87 Scale
The FREMO H0m standard is an official modular modeling specification developed by the European Association of Railway Modelers (FREMO). It is dedicated to layout modules that replicate metre-gauge railways (1000 mm) in 1:87 scale.
The primary goal of this standard is to ensure that modules built by different modelers can be seamlessly connected into a single, massive layout during international meetings. The standard places great emphasis on realism and technical reliability, capturing the unique atmosphere of local narrow-gauge lines—most commonly inspired by Swiss Alpine railways (such as RhB, FO, MOB) and German railways in the Harz region (HSB).
